Transformer Energy Efficiency Improvement Promotion Conference Held in Shenyang

In order to implement the "Transformer Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (2021-2023)", on July 15, 2021, the Transformer Energy Efficiency Improvement Promotion Meeting jointly organized by the Machinery Industry Technology Development Foundation and the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association Transformer Branch was held in Shenyang. Relevant comrades from the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Metrology Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Energy Conservation and Technology Equipment Department of the National Energy Administration attended the meeting. Representatives of production and upstream and downstream enterprises attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the responsible comrades of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization introduced the background, goals and key tasks of the "Transformer Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (2021-2023)", hoping that the industry will build consensus and strengthen technological innovation and industrial application of high-efficiency transformers. Vigorously promote the application of high-efficiency and energy-saving products, cultivate and strengthen key advantageous enterprises, promote the optimization and upgrading of the transformer industry chain, accelerate the improvement of transformer energy efficiency, reduce power transmission and distribution power losses, improve the energy efficiency of power-consuming enterprises, and further promote industrial energy conservation and green and low-carbon development. Relevant experts introduced measures and considerations for improving transformer energy efficiency. TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd., Haihong Electric Co., Ltd. and other green manufacturing system integration suppliers in the field of transformers introduced the development and production of high-efficiency transformers. State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, etc. The measures to implement the transformer energy efficiency improvement plan were introduced respectively. Baowu Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., Beijing Shougang Co., Ltd., and Qingdao Yunlu Advanced Materials Technology Co., Ltd. respectively introduced the supply of raw materials for high-efficiency transformers。

During the meeting, hundreds of units in the transformer industry chain jointly released a report on "Comprehensively Improving Transformer Energy Efficiency"  Start a new journey of energy saving and low carbon" initiative (referred to as "T100" initiative). The initiators of the "T100" initiative will work together to strive to increase the capacity of high-efficiency transformers by 1.5 billion kVA and reduce power consumption by about 10.5 billion kWh by 2023. Carbon dioxide emissions were reduced by 6.4 million tons.
