Langchong, a brand under Zhejiang Mailang, built the Foshan Langchong Xiqiao Xinhe Heavy-Duty Truck Ultra-Charging Station. Focusing on the local demand for building materials and engineering heavy-duty truck transportation, the station is equipped with one 2500kVA Haihong 3D Wound Core Prefabricated Substation, paired with six 480kW high-power dual-gun chargers dedicated to heavy-duty trucks, capable of charging up to 12 heavy vehicles simultaneously.

Q1: Can a single prefabricated substation meet the charging demand when all fast-charging guns work at the same time? 

A1: Absolutely yes! The Haihong 3D Wound Core Prefabricated Substation delivers full actual effective capacity with reliable and authentic performance. It features strong anti-impact and overload capacity, which can easily handle the instantaneous high current load when six 480kW chargers start synchronously, perfectly adapting to the centralized fast-charging working condition of heavy-duty trucks. Meanwhile, the equipment reserves sufficient performance redundancy to support later charger capacity expansion and power upgrade, offering stronger adaptability throughout the whole life cycle.



Q2: When the single prefabricated substation runs at full load in hot summer, will temperature rise surge and accelerate insulation aging? 

A2: No. The substation deployed at this station is equipped with Haihong’s self-developed Zero-Carbon Vortex Boost Cooling System, forming an efficient circulating heat dissipation system. Cold and hot air flow continuously inside the equipment to rapidly remove heat generated during operation, keeping the transformer operating at a low temperature rise for a long time. Stable low-temperature operation effectively protects the insulation performance of the equipment, eliminating high-temperature aging and performance degradation, and greatly extending the service life of the equipment. Supported by our regular inspection service, customers can operate with greater peace of mind.


Q3: With a single unit carrying the full load of the station, will the load loss be high and increase the overall power loss of the station? 

A3: On the contrary, it achieves lower loss and better energy saving. Leveraging the core energy-saving 3D Wound Core technology, the equipment boasts remarkable advantages over traditional stacked core transformers, saving 10% of electricity cost annually. Combined with the Zero-Carbon Vortex Boost Cooling System, the equipment operates at low temperature rise, further reducing operating loss and significantly cutting power consumption and operation costs of the charging station.


Q4: The 12 high-power charging guns work for a long time with complex circuit impacts. Can the single prefabricated substation handle it steadily? 

A4: Fully reliable. The transformer adopts a fully insulated clamping structure with solid construction and stable operation. It features low magnetic leakage, low stray loss and extremely low partial discharge (<3pC), delivering excellent anti-interference and anti-impact performance. It can readily cope with frequent start-stop of heavy-duty truck ultra-charging, instantaneous load fluctuation, as well as complex circuit impacts brought by on-site photovoltaic power generation for "self-consumption of generated power and grid connection of surplus power", ensuring all-weather stable operation without hidden risks. In addition, the equipment has fire and explosion-proof, moisture-proof and pollution-resistant properties, adapting to the complex outdoor environment of charging stations with top-tier safety.


Q5: Does the procurement cost of high-performance, well-adapted complete prefabricated substation remain high?
